Well, as it's prescribed for ADD and is stimulating in nature, and looking at the pathways activated that are shared with more direct amphetamines such as Dexedrine or Adderall, it definitely has potential to appear on a drug screening. Obviously, the higher and more prolonged your dosing regimen is, the more likely it is to show a positive for amphetamines. It has a relatively short clearance time, however, so it's not something that would cause disaster if you took a pill on the odd occasion. Yes, Focalin, or methylphenadate, will show up on a drug test as Ritalin.

may show positive for amphetamines but as long as you have a valid prescription there should be no problems.
