GameStop is a business and will only take trade ins. You are not going to get them to let you have a new PS3 or even an old one for your Xbox 360 or vice verse. What thy will do is give you a trade in credit and then you buy whatever you want. They give you so little for your Xbox 360 or PS3 and then charge so much for there Pre owned consoles

Friends make trades businesses take trade ins to resell for an amount 2 or 3 times the purchase price and any additional expenses. So no they will not trade, but they will give a small credit toward a purchase
