All piercings hurt it's mind over matter, if you don't mind it doesn't matter. Seriously it is not that bad.
Actually, they don't hurt at all.I got my first one on July 12, 2010, on the left, I absolutely LOVE IT and I hate pain and definitely had a fear of needles. But in a ranking of 1-10 I would have to say it was a 2. Didn't hurt at all. :) The swelling usually creeps up on you over night but don't be shocked.

∙ 15y agoit's all about what you personally find painful. i have snake bites right now and one of them i had pierced 2 times already and it didnt hurt me at all. this is also coming from someone who hates needles. it hurts less than getting a novicane shot at the dentist.

∙ 10y agoNot really. When the needle goes through, there's a bit of discomfort, and right after the piercing, its a little sore, but its really not bad at all.
The answer depends on your pain tolerance,my lip peircing was the least painfull peircing i have ever had

I have personally done this before, i got my right lip piercing re-pierced in the exact same spot and no it doesn't hurt, it feels the same as getting your first lip piercing.
