yes the babies still should live and if the mom is immature and wont take care of it like you no hang out with it or nurse it lay down with it and all you should consul with your mom and figure out what you should do
Mother hamsters carry their babies by gathering them in their mouths and moving them to a new location. They do this by gently picking them up by the scruff of their necks. Hamsters are equipped with built-in instincts that help them care for their young in this way.
after the baby hamster has been handled for a while sometimes the mother hamster will eat their young so be "careful".
hamsters do take care of their young... try not to touch them as it might change e smell... the mother hamster will eat their young if its unwell or e smell changes....
If the mother is very young or if she is under stress she sometimes eats the babies,
Mother elephants are mammals, and suckle their young babies with mother's milk.
A teddy bear hamster will only eat her young if she is threatened or in danger or if she does not have food or if she needs some proteins other wise if left alone for the needed time before weaning the mother will raise her young normally.
Well if you take away all of her babies then yes she will feel some lonesome and it may cause her to wine, scratch, runny nose. But if you leave at least one baby hamster with her she will not be upset and none of those symtyms above will happen. So i recomend you sell all of them(exept one.)and give the one you have not sold to the mother hamster and take care of her. p.s. you will not have to take care of the baby as much as you take care of the mother because the mother will take care of the baby but do feed her and love her as the mother hamster does. I HOPE I HELPED!!!(: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
A Goldern hamster is able to live on its own at 5 weeks old.
Nothing, it contains nutrients that the hamster didn't get the first time around. By eating it they are just getting the nutrients again.
Isolate the pregnant female from other hamsters, pets, people, and other distractions. Mother hamsters usually eat their babies because they feel threatened and cannot protect them. Male hamsters may eat babies, especially not their blood kin, as a way to ensure their own security. Never handle the mother or babies until the young are several days old and the mother feels comfortable in taking care of them.
Yes, mother rabbits eat their young. Its is the same for the Hamster. When the mother rabbits eats it own young, it means that the mother rabbit is stressed out and angry. Advise: If the Mother Rabbit born a baby, it must be separated from the Mother rabbit. You may put it in a different cage.
No, hamsters only eat their young if they're ill in any way. Or hamsters eat their young if they have been touched by any human being. In this case, she will try to harm them. The baby has a different smell. The smell of a predator and she will do everything and anything to protect the lives of her other young. If this happens; separate the young from the mother immediatly. This puts the baby hamster at risk for survival but its the best thing at the time. ^^^ wrong! yes they do eat their babies if they think it will be a challenge or if you touch them. do NOT take the ababies away from the mother for they will not be able to survive. You cannot do anything about the mother eating them it is very common and don't freak out and take them away because they will die either way. Maybe the mother will leae some. Seperate the father from the mother and babies depending on the breed. Hey, who ever wrote the second time, there wrong. I should know, I own a hamster breeding shop! The first person is exactly right!
