No, it does not. I have been on imvu for years and not a virus yet. If you don't belive me then try to get an avg. It is virus protection. It cost about 40 bucks at Wal-mart. If theres a website that your worried about it should be MEEZ. I went on the link of that site and my comp got 364 viruses on my hard drive and 7 viruses in my files. But good thing I know how to delete them.
New answer : IMVU can give you viruses. In the Old answer, Meez doesn't give you a virus. I went on Meez for about 1-2 years now and I've had no problem with Meez

∙ 13y agoNo it is not. IMVU, the downloaded program itself, may have a slight chance of crashing due to technical difficulties or an error. But, it gives you the notice that it has and gives you the option to restart IMVU (Don't be scared of this, it simply means if you were to sign in to IMVU (the program) again, that is what it means by "restart IMVU"). When you restart IMVU, everything will be as normal as when you signed in last time. Keep in mind though, when IMVU crashes it is not a posed virus, just technical difficulties or an error.

∙ 12y agohot4imvu.com says imvu doesn;t have virus but using imvu for long does accumulates lots of cache...and tmp files which can slow your system hence..
Go to settings --->advance in your imvu client and click on clear cache .
That should do the job takes 1- to 2 min time to clear entire cache.

∙ 11y agoold: imvu is loaded with virus! I got complaints from many of my friends about imvu releasing virus into their comps! Don't check it out unless you've got an anti- viral protection installed. It may be fun, but dangerous. . . . . . .
