If it is newer then a 1986, yes it doe's have a 1 piece rear main seal.
Yep, they have one. 1986 and older has a two piece rear main seal. 1987 and up has a one piece rear main seal.
No. It is a two piece rubber seal.
A Jeep 4.0L has a two piece rear main seal. You have to remove the oil pan and rear main bearing cap to replace it.

The job of the rear main seal is to keep the oil lubricating the rear main bearing from leaking out. Older model rear main seals were made from a "rope" type of material. Today the rear main seal is a one or two piece seal made from neoprene rubber and is located directly behind the rearmost main bearing journal of the crankshaft.
The one piece motors have raised-rail heads with the hold down screws going through the top of the valve covers. The two piece have the hold down screws on the rails.
Some cranks are cast, some are forged. Pre-1987 are two piece rear main seal. 1987 and up are one piece. Rod and main journal diameters are all the same.
It is two piece, and can be changed in vehicle.
Depending on the car or truck the engine may or may not need to be removed from the car. Drop the oil pan There are both one and two piece seals available to repair this. If the engine is removed from the car remove all main bearing caps lift the rear of crank and slip the old seal off and install new. If the engine is still in the car or connected to the trans remove the rear bearing cap and remove the old seal. If it a two piece it will just roll out ( with a fair amount of force and swearing), if it is a one piece it will need to be cut and have the new seal rolled (slid in ) Reassemble in reverse of disassembly.
No it will not, the pre-1986 Small block chevys used a two piece rear main and the 87's-up used a one piece. There were a couple oddballs but not many, marine engine might be one of them but I doubt it would work.
