Well, it depends... Is it an alarming squeak, or a more calmer one. I suggest you go on the internet and type in 'guinea pig sounds' or something like that and listen to the sounds. Then see which one sounds like the one your guinea pig makes. Or you can mail me and describe the sound and what other reactions your guinea pig has. Does it flinch and run or does it climb onto you and gives you little piggy kisses? Anyways, good luck :).
If you are petting the Guinea Pig while giving treats to him,he maybe pushing your hands to eat the treat. But,if you are simply petting and he keeps pushing your hand,it means that he doesn't like you petting him too much. But,he is not afraid of you.Other Guinea pigs make distress and will make squealing when they don't like handling or petting. But,this Guinea Pig is more smarter and he had a good experience with you.
If it squeaks while it moves but not while it's at idle then the squeaks are body or suspension noise.
I have a guniea pig... When he makes those noises he is happy.. Its like a happy shivering.. when he gets angry he chatters his teeth.. then again all guniea's are different and you cant really tell what he does.. I have read in many sites and books that the purring noise and shivering means one of 2 things, 1 its horny or 2 its angry, either that or he is just cold so he shivers. But if he was happy he would make a high pitch squeak squeak sound. Wow guinea pigs do not shake when they ae horny they are never hory ive researched guinea pigs shake when they feel safe or is happy rub it lower bac and it will make purring shakin noises I have a guinea pig, and whenever he makes those noises, he is happy. I have read that on so many websites, and I have been told by so many people that that's what it means. They do have a sensitive spot on your back, and when you hit it while brushing or petting too hard, they will squeal. this normally means the guinea pigs happy and realaxed
It's their way of saying I like that, or they're very happy
it means that he is happyAnswerMy daughter's guinea pig vibrates when it hears a female's voice...when my husband talks to him, he doesn't vibrate, but when I talk or my daughter talks to him, he vibrates while we are speaking! We think it's because he's happy and feels comfortable around girls! It means they are purring, Not that they are angry! my guinea pig doesn it everytime i take her out, she nuzzles me, purrs, and loves when i give her kisses! its a good thingAnswerMy guinea pig does that and she loves her butt being rubbed AnswerIt means they are happy! One of my guineas is a real lover and will do it constantly while I pet herLOVE :-D
She is probably petting him/her in a place, or direction, she/he does not like to be touched. Another reason would be if the cavy was eating something while she was trying to touch him/her; she/he would become annoyed and resort to bitting.
Purrs are often made when you are stroking them or having them on your lap. My guinea pig does it all the time when I am stroking or rubbing her. However, do not get this confused with the "mate call". My guinea pig purrs because I will stroke his fur backwards (on purpose to make him purr) so it is like a chill to them.
I am going throught the same thing! Make sure he knows that guinea pigs like to have companions, and that you're responsible. If you want you can ask your vet unexpectantly in a trap sorta way like "Isn't it good for your guinea pig to have company if it's the same gender" and they will agree.
mine were in a small cage for a while and they were both fine just as ong as you take them out enough they will be happy piggies.
It eats potatoes! While petting a raccoon and riding on an ostrich.
have the front swaybar links replaced
If by "flutter" you mean they make a kind of purring sound, they are happy. My guinea pig purrs all of the time...when he sees me coming, when I pet him, when I give him a treat, and even when I talk to him. He'll start doing the "piggy dance" and swaying from side-to-side, all while purring to my hearts' content. Guinea pigs have many ways of showing that they are happy and content, purring or fluttering is just one of them.
