Dark colored dimes and other coins are very common and have no added value.
Pennies are made of zinc and other alloys with a copper coating, pennies made before 1964(or around this year) they were made of just copper. What you see on a penny is not rust but corrosion of the copper coating.

Mountain Dew - or pretty much any heavily carbonated drink. Those with citric acid may cause faster corrosion.
It very much depends on condition. If it is very worn or has corrosion no more the a few dollars. If its lightly worn (good detail in liberty's hair), no corrosion and nice light chocolate color then about $25 - $50.
