Probably because you can just tell. Like the way she winks at him and how he responds in Wind Waker, and also in Phantom Hourglass when like unfroze her he was just staring into her eyes.
actually, from what I now from the game, tetra is, infact, Zelda. Its one of here disguises
I think.They would make a good couple.
Zelda makes no apperace in Phantom Hourglass, exept under the name of 'tetra', the person your are aimed at saving.
Tetra is a girl about Links age (I think) That is Captin of a pirate ship, She met link when she was kidnapped by The helmaroc king and accidently dropped into the woods on Outset island, Then Having found Tetra Aryll was takenLink did want Tetra to help with finding Aryll but she refused until Postman Quill Told her why she should bring Link along and save Aryll. She's blond Really tan

According to the officials who created the Legend of Zelda series, and since Tetra is Zelda (sorry if you already didn't know), There are hints to such in the games. This is however assuming that All links and Zeldas are roughly the same in their reelings for one-another. Everything is implied, but not verified. Many people wish it was so, but there are so many other "Pairings" of Link and other people, that it would seem that the creators have left the emotional love life of Link and Zelda/Tetra/whoever up to the fans' imagination.
Apparently, In Wind Waker, she kind of found him annoying first (Remember her saying) You know what we get if we take this kid with us...a headahe that's what! -Tetra But on second thoughts... In Phantom Hourglass, when Link unfroze her, She let out her hand to help him up. I think Link likes her more than she likes him.
