Are ex-felons eligible to adopt?

That question can only be answered by the ageency that you would be dealing with in order to legally adopt a child.

Does changing a child's last name to new husbands name relinquish father of child support?

Actually, there is nothing in a name. You can change your child's name to your favorite actor's last name if you like. Relinquishing child support from the father would only take place if your new husband got permission from both you and the child's father to legally adopt your child. This would in turn mean that your ex-husband is not legally your child's father any more. Which can cause other issues. For example, in the event of your ex-husband's death, your child would not be eligible for SSI benefits because the child is not legally his anymore.

Do you have to pay Child Support if you have 4 kids and one of the kids is with the non custodial parent?

You have to pay child support for any of your children that does not live with you. So if you have 3 kids that live with you and one kid that lives with your ex you would be responsible for paying child support for the one child that lives with your ex. However, you only have to pay, legally, when a court has ordered you to. If your ex is paying child support for the three kids that live with you a court could order a reduction in child support that he/she has to pay to you instead of you having to pay child support to him/her.

Do you owe your child's mother child support if the child has a child of her own?

Yes. You have to legally support the child until she is 18; the only way you don't have to is if the court terminates the child support. You cannot (legally) decide yourself that you no longer have to take care of your child.

Do father have to pay child support if child lives on their own with boyfriend?

Usually it deppends on the state that you live in and their laws. In the state that i live in, at the age of 17 the child can move out of the families household and the parents still have to pay for the child's living. that is only if the parents sign a paper so that the child is legally responsible for themselves.

Can a husband be responsible for child support for kids that are not his in the state of Idaho?

No, a person will not be ordered to pay child support on any children that are not his. The only way a person would be ordered to pay child support a child who is not theirs is if they had legally adopted that child.
