Well, 1 molecule of water is made up of 2 hydrogens and 1 oxygen. And it is not possible to have 1/2 a molecule of water, therefore, you have to have at least 1 complete oxygen in there, not 1/2.

Dose water contain half as many hydrogen atoms as oxygen atoms?

No, the chemical formula for water is H2O. This means that for every oxygen atom in the compound, there are two hydrogen atoms. Thus, the number of hydrogen atoms in water is double the number of oxygen atoms.

How many oxygen atoms are in a molecule of ozones?

3 oxygen atoms, so one and a half oxygen molecules. 3 Oxygen atoms joined by a single and a double bond in a bent shape, it is one molecule. A normal molecule of Oxygen has two atoms joined by a double bond.

How many molecules of oxygen is need to make water?

None. A water molecules contains one oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms. Oxygen only contains oxygen.

How many moles of oxygen atoms are present in one half mole of carbon dioxide molecules?

Since each mole of carbon dioxide molecules contains two moles of oxygen atoms, as indicated by the formula CO2 for carbon dioxide, half a mole of carbon dioxide will have one mole of oxygen atoms.

Can you keep dividing liquids and gases in half again and in half again that got to the point where couldn't divide it any more?

Yes. You would eventually get to a point where you would have only 1 molecule remaining. A molecule of water for instance has 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atoms. If you tried to divide that in half it would destroy it and it would no longer be water.

What results from hydrogen being at one end of a water molecule and oxygen at the other end?

They are not attracted to each other because one is polar and one is nonpolar.

Is oxygen a nonrenewable resource?

it can be renewed, you can split Water in half and half would be oxygen, so yes

What is water is the important solvent in your body?

Because our bodies contain a high percentage of water, in which is dissolved the compounds that we need to maintain life. Water is in our blood, tissue fluid, and cells.

What is corbonmonoxide?

CO "half burned carbon" Carbon can (and will) join with two oxygen atoms to form carbon dioxide when burnt. If there is a shortage of oxygen then the carbon will "half burn". CO is n odorless gas that is extremely toxic.

Why is water a polar molecule?

The water is a polar molecule because it is not equally charged. Its half side has a positive charge and the other half has a negative charge. because the electrons spend more of their time with the oxygen and not with hydrogen and due to this they get more negative charge and due to this the water is a polar molecule.---------------------------------------------------------------1. The water molecule is not linear.2. Oxygen is more electronegative than hydrogen.3. As a consequence the hydrogen atoms are slightly positive and the molecule is polar.

What is the difference between the mass of a mole of oxygen and a mole of O2 molecules?

A mole of oxygen atoms has a mass of approximately 16 grams. A mole of O2 has a mass of approximately 32 grams. A mole is 6.02 x 1023 particles and as such a mole of oxygen atoms has only half the mass of a mole of oxygen molecules.
