It can over time, it is not meant to be a lubricant.
I belive it might
No. Transmission fluid lubricates the transmission. Coolant is used by the radiator to cool the engine.
Coolant? Bad radiator Radiator has a separate cooling tank (usually at the side or bottom of radiator) for transmission fluid. At times this tank ruptures allowing coolant to get into transmission. Most times causing a transmission failure.
You will notice two lines going to your radiator from the transmission. One is a service line and one is a return line. The radiator has a transmission cooler built into it. If you have trans fluid in the radiator chances are the trans cooler is leaking. A little trans fluid in the radiator will not affect engine cooling BUT as soon as the pressure drops in that transmission you may very well have radiator coolant sucked into the tranmission and that will ruin a transmission in a hurry. You need to get this checked out as soon as possible.
Milky means one thing, water in the oil! Generally this means coolant from the engine is getting into the trans usually through the oil cooler in the radiator. This is very very bad and will quickly ruin the transmission.
broken radiator
They certainly do. The coolant lines run from the transmission into the radiator, normally the bottom driver side.
not always, but most times, yes. it will ruin the trans fluid pump.
The tranny cooler inside the radiator went bad.
The radiator has a transmission cooling tank in it. Evidently the tank has cracked. You may have a crack in your radiator your transmission cooling line runnz in your radiator good luck
I would have to guess that your radiator has a hole in it. Look andd see if your transmission lines go to a tank on the radiator. If this is the case then the radiator will have to be replaced. You transmission line is leaking oil into the coolant. Is there also coolant in the transmission? This is the only way that I can see this happening. Now if you were just having coolant in the transmission then I would say that there was a head gasket issue. well I hope this helps you.
The automatic transmission oil cooler is built into the radiator. If the oil cooler developes a leak the oil mixes with the engine coolant.
