By name: Yahweh In concept however Yahweh is more commonly referred to as "the holy trinity", the three parts of the trinity being: God (the Father), Jesus (the son) and the holy spirit. The term "christianity" derives from Jesus' title: Jesus Christ; Christ translates to "the anointed one" A christian is by definition "a follower of the anointed one"; that one being Jesus and Jesus being the incarnation of the trinity in physical form on Earth. The trinity's name however is Yahweh.
Well, when Jesus was born, God said He(Jesus) was fully God, and fully man. Jesus is the essence of God because He has the full power of God, though only does what the Father tells him to, but is not the Father himself. The Son(Jesus) the Father(God, or more specifically Jehovah, Yahweh etc.) and the Holy Ghost/ Spirit are three separate beings, while being one. It's confusing, yeah; I know.
No. His actual name in Hebrew was Yeshua ben Yosef. There was not a letter "J" at the time in Hebrew or Greek, so it would be translated in today's English as "Joshua, son of Joseph". The majority of the people in His time would have thought that Joseph was His father.
I think you mean,"WHOM did the Christians believe in?" Christians do believe in Jesus, and god (who is his father) Christianity has never stopped being a religion, in fact Christianity is the most popular religion
Jesus had no formal education on religion, being the son of a carpenter.
To the Jew God is one - it is a monotheistic religion. However, in the Old Testament there are many references to the Spiritof God (starting even in Genesis) and explicit reference in Joel where God states that he will pour out his Spirit on all people. Similarly in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) there are many prophesies relating to God the Son and the Incarnation, both ideas of which, of course, make more sense with hindsight. To the Jew the name Yahweh - the holy name of God - is inutterable because of its holiness. Instead, in the Hebrew Bible the name is translated into other descriptions e.g. Adonai (Lord). To the Jew, Yahweh represents God - the monotheistic God with a personality and Spirit and not part of a Trinitarian deity. However, it was Jesus who taught us to call God 'Father' (Abba in Aramaic - more akin to 'Daddy') much to the astonishment of the Jews - except those who accepted his teaching. He also referred to the Holy Spirit of God as a separate entity - yet still part of one God that was under his control not the Father's ("Iwill send you the Holy Spirit...") and of course on many occasions Jesus claimed to be God the Son and the fulfilment of the prophesies of the Old Testament in God becoming human through his Son. Thus, to the Jew YahWeh remains God. But to the Christian Yahweh embodies the complete Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - one God yet with three personal aspects. To assume that YahWeh is just the Father is quite wrong, Biblically, Historically and Theologically. He was never regarded as 'just' the Father either in the Christian Religion nor in Judaism. This is why the theology behind those groups who believe in YahWeh (or, 'Jehovah') as the Father God and the Holy Spirit and Jesus being somehow subservient is very wrong or skewed as it has no basis either in the theology of the Jewish religion, the theology of Christianity, the history and archaeology of the Jewish nation or in scripture - either the Old or New testament.
Jesus first offered himself to his father upon incarnation. The only purpose of Jesus being born was to live in obedience to his father and become the perfect sacrifice.
Being in the presence of his Father, and doing his will.
It is not so much a question of Yahweh being part of Catholic 'mythology' which isn't mythology, it's religion. As to whether Yahweh is identified as God in this religion, the answer would be 'yes' because Yahweh is the literal translation of the name of God in the Bible, which in the Jewish faith was the name of God that could not be uttered. The literal appearance of the name in the Hebrew language is YHWH, as there are no vowels in the alphabet. As the original biblical name of God in the Old Testament (Torah too), from which we derive 'Jehovah', YHWH is indispensable to Catholicism.
The fact that He was Of Virgin Birth, meant that He had no earthly Father, but God the Father.
A bible verse about Jesus being the way isJohn 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Joseph is the husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus in the family tree of Jesus. He is often referred to as the foster father or legal guardian of Jesus, providing care, protection, and guidance to Jesus during his upbringing. Joseph's role in the family tree of Jesus is to fulfill the prophecy of Jesus being born of the line of David, as Joseph is a descendant of King David.
