No it will not, that is just a myth.
No, a starter cannot cause a battery to fail to charge. It could cause the battery to discharge quickly.
Leaving a battery sitting on a cement floor will have no effect whatsoever. It will not discharge the battery anymore than letting it sit in the car or on a wooden floor. That is a myth. Just put a charger on it and charge it. If it does not take a charge it is defective, but sitting on concrete did not cause it to go bad.
the battery could have a dead cell, this could cause it to not charge. Have the battery tested to be sure.
Dead cell in battery, replace it.
Car batteries do not usually corrode just sitting on concrete unless their is a leak in the container. I do know that you shouldn't place a car battery on a concrete surface as it can cause the battery to discharge its self into the concrete and you end up with a dead battery.
No. Setting any kind of battery on the ground has no effect on its electrical characteristics. Electrical energy is drawn from a battery only by things that are connected between the battery's positive and negative terminals. Think of this, new batteries are kept on metal shelves. Steel is a better conductor than concrete. So if you could "drain" a battery by setting it on something, a steel shelf would be more efficient.
no , only the concrete and other cemented floors ....
No. The battery will be charged at a rate which is 2* the normal rate. This will cause the battery to overheat which might cause it to explode.
either it does not charge the battery enough or it will charge it too much which will quickly cause the electrolyte in the battery to evaporate
usually means the battery simply won't hold charge. and won't charge full stop! get a new one
Probably need a new alternator, or you battery cables or conectors could be bad If the battery is connected to your vehicle and it is not maintaining charge while the vehicle is running then it is more than likely your alternator that is out. If the battery does not have juice and is brand new then it is defective. I have also heard that if you place a car battery directly on concrete for a long period of time it will ruin. Always put a battery on a wood or a metal surface when storing.
Cause it is shorted out ,replace it.
