Does stopping the pill a day early and resuming a day earlier affect its effectiveness?

I am confused by your question. You don't stop taking the pill each month. You take one pill every day. But yes, if the pills aren't taken correctly it does lower their effectivness. Use a back up for a week or don't have sex.
