It depends, if its been used, how clear, how stright the grain,(is the wood defect free), is the wood old world, you have to take all these factor into account. If your wood is clean, stright, dry, an defect free, "NO" it will not depreciate, it will only go up in value. Old world wood is wood cut well over 100 years ago, (the growth rings are much closer together, more condensed if you will. The logging industry used to float millions of logs down rivers to lumber mills, in the process many sunk, today they are salvaging these logs from the bottom of the rivers, these logs will cost you anywhere from 1-1/2 to 3 times as much, again, a tighter more condensed wood then the same type wood of today, plus you can get wood that is no longer available today such as chestnut. Example: lumber company (A) has 100 linear feet of walnut cut 3 weeks ago for sale at $475.00, Old world lumber company (B) has 100 linear feet of old world walnut for sale at well over $1000.00. So it depends on your Teak (clear, stright, blemish free, etc.). Don't let anybody talk you down in price because of the age of the wood, as our wood resources are depleted, good wood can only appreciate.
