ALL harmonic balancers for ALL American car engines (and all other vehicle engines that I know of) are in the same place. They're integral to the front engine pulley that drives the serpentine belt or fan-belt, whichever your engine has. Yours has a serpentine belt. Some shops call it the "harmonic balancer", others call it the "harmonic balancer pulley", still others just call it the "front pulley". It's the same thing.
Check your timing belt, harmonic balancer and the either two or three belts that connect to the harmonic balancer
first remove serpintine? fan belt then remove large bolt in middle of harmonic balance. this bolt usually has left hand thread next with a harmonic pulley ,puller, remove harmonic balancer.when removing this, there is a key in the balancer and shaft if a new key did not come with new balancer, make sure not to loose the old one install new balancer with key.use the bolt to pull balancer up tight where it needs to be and use proper torque on bolt
They are right handed. Turn counter clockwise to loosen.
To remove the harmonic balancer from a 1993 Ford Tempo, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove any belts attached to the balancer. Next, use a harmonic balancer puller tool to carefully extract the balancer from the crankshaft. Make sure to follow any specific torque specifications during reinstallation if you're replacing it. Always consult a repair manual for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
remove top engine mount and cut off metal lug that stops engine from lowering enough to remove harmonic balancer. Then engine lowers enough.
To remove the harmonic balancer on a 1993 Buick Century, first, disconnect the battery and remove any components obstructing access, such as the serpentine belt. Next, use a harmonic balancer puller tool to carefully extract the balancer from the crankshaft. Ensure you remove any bolts securing it in place before using the puller. Finally, clean the crankshaft and inspect for damage before installing a new balancer.
do you mean the harmonic balancer...ok..to remove you need to remove the fan and shroud assembly. YOu may need to remove the radiator to get enough room to get a impact gun and a socket on the nut to remove the harmonic balancer if you dont have a impact you are going to have to lock the engine and get a large breaker bar and a socket on the nut and then remove the part.
Assuming that it is a 3.1 V6, as most of them are, there is no cam sensor. Only a crankshaft sensor. It is located behind the harmonic balancer. To replace it the balancer has to be removed.
You will need to go through the passenger front wheel well (wheel off). Remove belt, remove pulley/balancer with a balancer puller tool. Air tools make this job MUCH easier.
NO!! The Mazda engine and ford engine are totally different period.Mazda was still strickly Mazda until 1993. It was not until 1994 when Mazda and ford became the same on engine and tranmission similarities. You need a Mazda engine for your Mazda transmission.Note the 1986-1993 Mazda bseries trucks are all Mazda manufactured.Ford is not interchangeable with these models period.
The 1993 Mazda MX-6 with a V6 engine is equipped with a 2.5-liter (or 2,496 cc) V6 engine. This engine produces around 164 horsepower and is known for its smooth performance. It features a DOHC design and is part of Mazda's KL series of engines.
