I own a 1996 0pel vectra and I do believe that yes they do have an engine immobiliser,if you read the maintenance handbook you will see on pages 6, 12,& 41, comments with regards to an amber light which, if (an engine icon with electrical symbol set vertically in the centre) it is flashing indicates engine immobilised or something is faulty in the electrical system.I am currently experiencing this problem,I am also thinking about putting another ignition barrel in to counter this I have damaged the original ignition whilst trying to resolve this problem.
My vectra is a 1999 S plate and has a factory fitted immobilizer, I think that alarm/ immobilisers were fitted as standard the year after mine.
I called Mazda and they have confirmed a 2001 Mazda 121 has a factory fitted immobiliser.
yes they come with a standard immobilizer that my 5 yr old could remove if you buy the sxi go straight to your nearest sound and security centre and fit something decent.
All Vauxhall cars have (in the UK) had an immobilizer fitted since 1996.
reset the immobliser using a scan tool.
Take to auto electricians as I had the same problem and they found a conlog relay for ignition faulty. after it was replaced car was working fine.
yes they come as standard.when you give the car details to your insurer all the car details will appear on their system.most standard imobilisers appear as standard thacham imobilizer.
yes yes
hi its probably an immobilizer rather than a car alarm.
They are Holden 304 V8 injected motors fitted in Holden commodores 1988 -1997, a fairly powerfull compact motor developed and built in Australia, replaced by the 5.7 ls1
The factory fitted alarm on a 2003 Corolla will not arm if the wires have been cut to the alarm. If the vehicle was purchased used, this is a good possibility.
If there is a red blinking light on top of the dashboard(blinks every second or so), then, yes, it is!
