Where do you wire the power cable in Corsa?

to wire it through a corsa, strip one end and connect to sub or amp, then the other end runs through the car. unscrew the glove box and wire it through thegrommet behind the battery under the bonnet to the positive terminal. Fuse connector half a meter down the wire does help the sub or amp to cope with the current and lessens the chance of blowing your sub

How To

How to remove the spindle from a set of headlights on a corsa sport?

Not quite sure what you want to do.I'm thinking you want the servo motor off? The headlamp needs to be removed after setting to lowest position on the load leveler switch.Twist the motor to the left to release the body, then you have to pull firmly to get the operating rod to release from the ball socket on the lamp. You may have to pull hard and try to pull straight so you don't bend the rod. Before refitting, grease the ball joint and then firmly push to relocate the drive rod.Twist right to refit the motor.Hope this is what you need.

How do you remove and replace a ignition barrel in a 1987 Toyota Starlet XL?

Here are some notes I found on:

http://experts.about.com/q/Toyota-Repair-832/91-tercel-steering-wheel.htm

The ignition lock cylinder needs to be replaced, the only way the cylinder will come out is if you can get into the "acc" position, there is a release pin on the housing that you have to push in to remove the cylinder,. remove the covering around the locj to gain access to the pin, it may be a good idea to buy the new lock cylinder first so you can see where the release pin is, if you can not get the key into the ACC position the lock cylinder needs to be drilled out and I recommend having a Toyota dealer or locksmith deal with this.

Thermostats
Vauxhall Corsa

Where is the thermostat located on a Vauxhall Corsa R reg?

Thermostat housing is inside cambelt cover, follow large rubber hose from radiator to the outlet stub pipe as it protrudes from the cover. You can't see much of the actual housing before the cambelt cover comes off. Take a tip and save money and time.If you have to replace the thermostat, check the miles to the next scheduled cambelt change. If it's anywhere near, get it done while the covers are off.

Helpful Tip.

Phone your local dealer's parts department, and ask. Any half desent parts person will tell you, as long as you can provide enough info so they can work out what engine your car has.

Where is the thermostat located on a Vauxhall Cavalier V6?

Follow the upper hose from the radiator to the engine. The hose connects to the thermostat housing, and there is usually 2 bolts holding it on.

CORRECT> however:

It's on the top of the engine, in the middle of the "V" made up of the cylinders, under all the inlet manifold & associated parts, buried very well.

Instrument panel fuses vauxhall corsa?

No fuses on instrument panel. Any panel problems are due to faulty connections on the multi-pin plug on the back of the instrument console. Very common fault. I've fixed loads of these.

Can a 6 by 9 car speaker be made to fit a factory 6 by 8 opening?

Depending on the vehical it is most often recommended to buy the proper speakers for that year make and model.

On my personal vehicals, I personally buy the speakers I like and make the necessary cuts to make the hole the right size to fit the speaker. (Making sure not to damage the structural shape of the cab.) Then insulate and waterproof the cavity that the speaker will be set into, paying special attention to ensure a good seal around the speaker itself.

Some speakers are Sealed and some are Free-air be sure to accomadate each accordingly to maximize your listening pleasure.

Also be sure to run as much of your wiring as possible under the interior trim, to maximize comfort.

How do you fit a horn on a Vauxhall Cailbra?

You don't state the year, but I believe all the Calibra's have the horn mounted on a bracket fastened to the wind deflector behind the radiator grille. The grille has to come off for access,up to model year 1986 ish you just press down in turn on the plastic clips you can see with the bonnet open.Later models reveal a few bolts or screws when the bonnet is lifted.Undo these and lift up on the grille. The horn is just bolted on and a wiring connector to pull off.

Why would the front loader on a Corsa not store stations when the ignition is turned on so the channels need resetting each time?

theres supposed to be a wire in the harness that gives the radio constant power so it remembers the stations. your constant/memory power is not working tihs wire is usually yellow... this provides a constant power to your stereo..where the red wire is your switch 12v power and gives the stereo power when you turn the key.... 2 wires need to be changed around as vauxhall made it hard to put in aftermarket stereos or so the guy at motor world told me in my case the 2 wires were the permenant memory (orange) plugged into the ingnition (red) and vise versa there are connection pins that allow you to do this

How do you take off headlight adjuster on a vauxhall corsa headlight?

Unfortunately there are 4 different Corsa models, Mk1 (called a Nova in the UK), Mk2, Mk3 and Mk4 (the current model).

Not only does each model have completely different headlamps, but each model had more than one type of headlamp fitted.

In each case the method to remove the adjuster is completely different.

This means that to answer this question more then 12 different sets of instructions would be needed.

How do you change kawasaki 650 prairie drive belt?

You need a special tool from Kawasaki to hold the drive pulley. The Kawasaki part number for the tool is 57001-1520. After you remove the convertor cover. You remove the drive pulley by bolting the tool on the three upper bolts then take off the drive pulley nut (left hand threads). Once the pulley is off take the belt off the driven pulley then you can reinstall the new belt. You also have to check the belt deflection. Put a straight edge from the belt on the drive pulley to the belt on the driven pulley. Using a ruller push down on the belt. The deflection should be no more than 1". If it is I would take the ATV to a Kawasaki dealer. They will need to add or subtract springs and shims from the drive pulley. If the old belt has never been change you might be OK by just replacing it. I have not tried to take the drive pulley off without using the special tool from kawasaki. The best thing you can do is go to RepairManuals.com and look up a KVF650 2003, you can buy the OEM repair manual for $60.00 plus about $6.00 shipping. It has saved me a lot of money.

Have you checked the lambda probe? It is a few hundred quid but fixed the problem for me. Get a garage to run a diagnostic to check that this is the problem before you get it done.
