This is a very controversial question. The short answer is that God has always existed, but I cannot try to explain it as you have to believe the book of Genesis and the whole Bible for yourself.
But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you your sins. Matthew 6:15

If you try to do it by yourself you'll fail. The first step is knowing Christ. As you spend time with him, you'll become more like him. The best way is to study the Bible, both by yourself and with others; and to spend time talking to and listening to God. Again this can be done by yourself and with others. Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
No. King James didn't translate any bible. He hired biblical scholars to translate the bible. The KJV wasn't the first English bible version. The Bishops bible, the Geneva bible, among others were translated first.
By first, respecting yourself & others.

But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you your sins. Matthew 6:15
This depends on the individual and where there may be a specific lack. For many it will be a need to know Christ personally first, since you cannot share about someone you do not know. For others it will be a need to be in prayer. For others still, it will be a need to cultivate humility and the ability to humbly listen to others. Some may need to know the Bible better as this may give confidence that what you are sharing is not your own invention, and even more importantly, the Bible is God's powerful word and is the sword of the Spirit.
