I have a 2008 Ford Fusion SE 3.0L V6 All-Wheel Drive and when the fuel pump stops clicking at the gas station, it reads that I've put in 14 gallons of fuel. That's what I got when my fuel was so low that the warning light came on. So I'd say it is probably a 15 gallon tank on the Ford Fusions.
I was looking at the 1996 Ford Escort Owner Guide and it doesn't show anything about it having a low fuel warning light ( or a check " gage " light )
I was looking at the 1997 Ford Mustang Owner Guide and it doesn't show a low fuel light in the gauge cluster
After the low fuel light comes on in a 2002 Ford Explorer, you should be able to drive at least another 10 miles. The low fuel light usually comes on when there is 2 gallons left in the tank.
once the light comes on you have exactly 50 miles til empty. Just be careful not to miss the first time or else there is no way of knowing.
In my 2007 Ford F150 truck I drove about 30 miles after the fuel light came on.
Inflate the tire to the correct pressure and then drive the vehicle
i think that means you need gas in your vehicle
Between 2 and 4 gallons of gas are left when the low fuel light comes on in a Ford vehicle. This gives the driver time to make it to the next gas station before running out.
It's around 3ltr.

For my 1997 Ford F-150 XLT 4x2 Triton v8 4.6L, the low fuel light comes on with about 1 gallon of gas left. That's mine, though, heh. i have a 2000 ford f150 4.2 l, i have about 3 gallons left when my light comes on.
