Yes, the United States still needs feminism - if anything it needs feminism more than ever.

Feminism is a movement that is concerned with womens equality, currently there are many people seeking to strip women of their basic human rights within American society: for example denying women reproductive rights such as Birth Control access or abortion access, also within America there is a serious problem with harassment and rape of women.

Feminism is also intersectional, recognizing that women will not have true equality until all women are free from oppression, which means feminism has to tackle issues such as racism, transphobia, and homophobia - while police can still shoot black people like it's nothing, while trans women are still being murdered at an alarming rate, and while lesbian women can be denied the right to marriage...feminism is still needed.

Does society still need feminism?

Yes, society still needs feminism because feminism is a movement that seeks to bring gender equality and society hasn't achieved this yet. Feminism seeks to deal with issues of gender inequality and other forms of oppression such as racism, until everyone is equal within society feminism will exist.

Which type of feminism accepts the basic organization of US society?

Liberal Feminism.

Does feminism still exist?

Are there women who want to be in control of their own lives? YES.

Why is Liberal feminism a branch of feminism that is often criticized?

Some people believe that feminists are man-haters who want to destroy the fabric of society. Others argue that feminism has achieved very little and that women are still viewed as second-class citizens, and that unofficial inequalities (e.g. the 'glass ceiling') still exist unchallenged.

If black feminism wasn't in the world what would happen to the African American Women?

I'd argue that if black feminism didn't exist there would still be womanism, and whether there was a term for black feminism/womanism or not black women would still be fighting for their rights as human beings. Feminism is overwhelmingly white-centered, however consider before the suffrage (white women fighting for white womens rights, and ignoring the rights of women of colour) black women were still fighting for their rights to exist and to their freedom - white feminism is a small island in a sea of history of women fighting for their rights to be treated as equals.

Has modern feminism lost its principles?

Some critics have argued that modern feminism has lost its principles. However, feminism is not a stationary idea, and has to change in order to continue to be useful. Feminism has gone through many phases or waves since its advent in the United States, from First Wave Feminism all the way to Fourth Wave Feminism. Just within the U.S. feminism has changed from a movement focused on getting women the vote, and from being a movement largely run only by white, middle-class straight women, to a feminism that attempts to be more inclusive to all women, regardless of their race, ability, sexuality, religion, class and other identities. Feminism has branched into numerous subsets, such as eco-feminism, radical feminism, and (Multi)Cultural feminism, in an attempt to acknowledge all women and all their experiences. Feminism in different countries takes different forms and means different things. So feminism has changed in many ways since its advent, but it has not lost its principles. Feminism still seeks to bring equality to women, and dismantling, and dismantling oppressive institutions, which are what its principles have always been.

How can you conclude that you need feminism?

The basic principle of feminism is equality. Feminism is needed because its premise is that people should not be discriminated against because of gender. It follows the basic law of discrimination not being based on gender, religion, race, sexual orientation or belief.

What is another word for feminism?

I don't believe that there is another word for feminism, the term feminist is clear on it's intentions: a movement to bring about gender equality. There are similar movements such as womanism which is a movement for equality for women of colour, as mainstream feminism is mostly white-centered many black women feel they need their own movement outside feminism to fight for their rights.
