The Airline Pilots Association, or ALPA, does not by default support either party. Furthermore, by law, the pilots' union dues cannot be used for any kind of political contribution.

ALPA-PAC (PAC stands for Political Action Committee) receives volunteer donations by ALPA pilots for political lobbying of aviation issues and other issues that affect airline pilots. ALPA-PAC supports politicians depending on their views with regard to these airline pilot issues - and support is given regardless of the party affiliation of the politician. ALPA-PAC chooses who it supports very carefully and does so based solely on candidates' voting records and their views on specific issues. For this reason, many times the PAC decides not to support anyone (as in the last Presidential election where it did not endorse either candidate).
