Romans 5:12 states that sin is an inherited disease with a 100% infection and mortality rate. Sin is not the bad things a person might do, nor is it mistakes that one makes. Sin is imperfection, or missing the mark. We were originally created perfect and meeting our perfect mark of life expectancy would have meant eternal life. However Satan seduced humans in to deciding for themselves what was 'Good and Evil' and thus to govern THEMSELVES. Thus began the passing down of sin to every human through our genetics. This is also why Adam and Eve were then ashamed of their nakedness afterwards. Their reproductive organs were now no longer capable of passing down perfect images of God but now passed down sin, disease and death. Our means of fullfilling our God given purpose for existing stated in genesis chapter 1 was now not possible until the curse of sin was lifted and humans made perfect again. This can only be done through Gods kingdom, which is allowing God again to decide what is good and bad.
