Radiator coolant.
Take it off the vehicle andflush it with water.
On my 2000 3 Series, it is right in front of the engine near the coolant reservior.
Check around the reservior for a wire harness going to there. Try tapping on it.
check/replace the engine coolant level sensor located in the engine coolant overflow reservior (located at the rear of the engine compartment pass. side)
It is possible to put water only in the reservoir for coolant on a car. However, this should only be a temporary fix until it can be repaired by a mechanic.
This is because the coolant is often under high pressure, and to keep it in the liquid state you must have sealed pipes.
the pump for the washers is contained in the reservior which is located on the right side of the engine compartment right by your coolant reservior. the sprayers themselves are just tubes that run up your windshield wiper arms.
Actually , what I did was go and buy a cheap plastic turkey baster and used that to suck the coolant out of the tank - it took less time than I figured
Sound like ur head gasket has a crack or is blown need to fix it ASAP
You don't need to wait. As soon as everything is sealed up you can pour in the coolant mix.
1) remove radiator cap2) Fill radiator with coolant.3) replace radiator cap4) remove reservior cap5) fill to "fill cold" line6) replace reservior capIf your system not very low or empty you can omit 1-3.
