The distributer is a purely electrical device, it distributes the spark to the proper cylinder. If there's no fuel, check out the fuel pump.
I'm trying to do a tuneup on my 89' 740 Volvo with turbo. Having problems getting the distributor rotor off?
to change the distributor on a 740 Volvo undo the 3 captive bolts that attach it to the back of the rocker box you will find it easiest to you use a short box spanner and yes it is awkard
check the hoses going from turbo control valve to turbo(one or more of the hoses are cracked....good luck
Yes, but your Volvo will have very little power without the turbo.
The diesel turbo can only fit on a Volvo 850 with a little fabrication.
yes

no i have a Volvo 1991 se turbo.
Yes, just noramlly have a higher flow rate to deal with the extra air from the turbo.
no
Yes it will make your life much easier to have the turbo ecu and harness. The turbo injectors have a resistor pack that the non-turbo engines do not use. So that would have to be manually wired in to use stock turbo injectors and ecu.
