i originally was not going to buy a dsi but the net on it sold me and i also saw the Yahoo messenger on it and like u i was clueless as how to use it and this is what i found
u don't actually download the messengers on it u have to use the mobile version of the net http://m. what ever u are gonna use its really simple to use the dsi has alot of potential ive already used yahoo msn and AOL on it very reliable and simple just a tad slow but u got to remember its not a computer

Unfortunately, while the DSi DOES have the ability to upload your photos to the internet, it has absolutely NO ability to download programs not offered in the DSi shop. I think the main reason for this is so that you cannot accidentally download a virus to your system. That would be very, very, BAD.

First, you log into the DSi internet Channel Then, you go to m.yahoo.com , which is yahoo's site in mobile format (for like phones and such) Then, you scroll down, and sign into yahoo. Next, after you're all logged in, you can go to the All Sites at the top, which will load a list of all of the Yahoo family of sites. Click Messenger, click login on the next screen, and bam, you're mobile.
