From my experience and basic knowledge of owning a 1.8 and 2.2 engine, i believe i carries a MAF Sensor...The 2.2 carries an air flow meter...
The Air Temperature sensor is in the same unit as the Air Flow Meter on top of the stock air box. The coolant temp sensor is mounted on the coolant outlet on the back of the engine, center, just above the transmission.
the mass air flow sensor detects the flowing of mass air into the engine while the mass air flow meter detects the amount of mass air flowing into the ingine.
IT'S BEHIND THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR AND THE FUSE BLOCK ON LEFT SIDE OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor on a Mazda Miata is on the right side of the engine, when looking directly at the engine. It's a black, tube about 4" long, and connects right into the large, plastic black air box.
It doesn't have one. It uses a flapper type air flow meter which doesn't require an intake air temp measurement.
your mass air flow sensor is outta wack or your oxygen sensor... your mass air flow sensor is outta wack or your oxygen sensor...
Not sure if the 97 has a cabin sensor or if this was what you were looking for. Yet the one for the engine is in the air flow meter at the air filter.
In mass air flow sensor.
where is the air flow sensor on a 1997 tacoma
That is usually a problem with the map sensor or air flow meter, depending on the model engine in said Supra. www.driftmotion.com
it principle denpend on what kind of flow meter. example, magnetic flow meter, it use magnetic force to measuring or coriolis flow meter which is use vibrated capilary tube as sensor. or more info you might watch on youtube.
If it's not different than my 92' then it's inside the air flow meter. I belive it to be a little white plastic appendage inside the inlet.
