Mating in Anaconda's occurs during the Rainy season during April & May. Males identify receptive females and then copulate with them. Courting & Mating occurs almost exclusively in water and may sometimes happen on Land. Mating is followed by a gestation of around 6 to 7 months. Females give birth to live young.
