Yes, the skid plate is also the trans mount crossmember.
remove access plate on floor around shifter, 4 bolts hold the shifter onto the trans.
No.
Remove the inspection plate/dust cover from the bell housing. Disconnect the torque converter from the flex plate. Remove the drive shaft from the transmission. Separate the engine and transmission and support the transmission while you remove the flex plate. Replace the flex plate and put it all back together.
Block the wheels, place a transmission jack under the transmission and secure the transmission to the jack, unbolt the flywheel, drop the transmission, remove the pressure plate and clutch plate, replace the pressure plate, attach the clutch plate and ensure you torque the bolts to manufacturer's specifications (this is especially important), remove your alignment tool, replace the transmission, reinstall the driveshaft.
Remove the driveshaft from the back of your Chevy transmission. Remove the transmission mount retaining bolts. Remove the retaining bolts from the Bell housing. The transmission can then slide backwards. Don't forget to unbolt the torque converter from the flex-plate and remove the torque converter with the transmission.
remove engine or transmission replace flex plate (flywheel).
Look at the other question about the 95 yj, it's explained there... lataaaaaaaaa
lok under the vehicle, passengers side, above the skid pan/transmission plate and forward of the muffler.
No, the bleeder is on the passengers side top, opposite the line that goes in. Best way to get at it is to remove the plate that goes around the shifter. Cool thing is, with it right there you can do the bleeding with one person instead of two.
The flex plate is bolted to the back of the crankshaft. It connects the motor to the torque converter in the transmission. To replace you remove the transmission and replace it.
You Have to pull the transmission or at least pull it back so you can reach the bolts holding the flex plate to the crank.
Well kind of unclear question but most all sensors for this transmission are attached to the elecro-hydrolic plate which is mounted on the valve body . usually when this transmission has a fault the elecro - hyrdolic plate is to blame. you need to remove trans pan , remove valve body , replace hydrolic plate. correct fluid level.
