A throttle body spacer can save fuel as well as improve performance. This is done by adjusting the flow of air and fuel as it enters the intake.
Could be alittle bit of anything, is the check engine light coming on, if so could be Idle Air Control or Throttle Position sensor, whatever the codes say, if there is no codes, could be bad Fuel Pressure Regulator or you got carbon in the throttle body, bores and what not, there is fuel additives that will help take care of the caron in the trottle body... there is many fuel additives but alot will harm the 02 sensor which means more money... Sea Foam makes one that is 02 Sensor save and can be used to clean out the throttle body and gas as well as adding it to the oil to help restore compression and make the vehicle save on gas... Hope ive helped.
You could do it, but it will require major modifications (when you say throttle body I assume it's a fuel injected engine), you will have to replace the MAF, reprogram the computer, replace all the sensors which are specific for the origina throttel body, esentially what wil happen is that the CFM of the intake will vary (because the throttle body is smaller, also the vaccum figures will be altered and the velocity of the air flow will be faster, it might be possible but it is essentially illegal, you are not supposed to tamper with a fuel injection system. If you want to do this because you cannot find a part (the original throttle body), you might as well try, but if the part is available (or you still have the original), use the original one and save yourself a lot of headaches). Regards
Yes, the do save fuel because...
AnswerThe TPS is back near the firewall. It's held in with 4 bolts and connected to the throttle cable with another bolt. If your car is stalling because the TPS is sticking, a shot of WD40 will save you the cost of the part. The TPS is nowhere near the firewall. It is mounted on the side of the throttle body. This is where the air cleaner duct routes into on the top of the engine. You will want to look on the driver side of the throttle body. There will be three wires running to the TPS sensor. Unhook the sensor. Remove the two screws that mount it to the throttle body. Install the new sensor. These are non adjustable sensors on the newer Fords. I've never seen WD40 save a TPS sensor.
you can type the text essay on save fuel save environment in the google search bar. You can select any of the option..
because there is not a lot of fossil fuel in the world left also we save fuel to save money the prices of gas is going through the roof nowadays.

we should save fuel
On all world
you could start walking to school to save car fuel !
Saving fuel can help the environment because less harmful emissions go into the atmosphere. Carpooling, planning errands, and biking or bus riding are ways that people can save fuel.
Hello, I am having the same problem. It is located on the throttle body. I was in a parts store today asking about this part, and a man behind me said to take some throttle body cleaner and clean the valve all around, and spray inside where it goes on and that should save buying a new one. It is held on by two bolts. Jeff63b@yahoo.com
