I've just been scratching my bites like crazy. I had 15 on one foot and 4 on the other and just had a 20 minute walk home during which I got another 9 or so...
Couldn't stop scratching - and I'm especially sensitive, so they really swell up... So googled and found that tea tree oil and toothpaste relieve itchiness. Figured it can't hurt to try, so I put on my tea tree oil toothpaste (natural) and instant relief! Never had this in my life. No 'AfterBite' or any other 'Bite Relief Creams' ever worked for me...
From what I have tried yes. I heard it has something to do with the PH balance, their is acid in a mosquito bite and a base in toothpaste that balances it out. Leaving a small layer on overnight (with a small tissue piece to keep from rubbing away immediately) I noticed reduced swelling and the itch almost gone from the bite. From trial and error I would recommend a paste toothpaste and not a gel.
funny you ask, yes it does help. got some on four on my arm right now... but yes it helps, and it burns for a little, but it's not that bad. they'll go away faster

No, it does not. Mosquito bites cannot be cured by anything you drink or eat. Fortunately, there are some medicines you can put on a bite so that it does not itch as much, and unless the mosquito was carrying some disease, the bite itself will gradually cease to bother you.
