No it does not. The fps is controlled solely by the spring. Batteries are mainly small types and small types are either 8.4v or 9.4v the difference is the higher the voltage the better the fire rate.

To go along with both of those answers-If you have a bolt action or spring airsoft gun, a spring upgrade from online sites like evike.com or airsoftmegastore.com can increase the speed greatly. Tight bore barrels can also increase your fps by about 15%. They also make it much more acurate
