It really does! I don't know about English. I learn Spanish. And it definitely helps. Try to watch at least one episode each day. Obviously, you won't see results in a few days. But try to stick to this habit for a few months and you will see the success.
Yes, watching movies with subtitles can be a useful way to improve your English language skills. It can help you make connections between spoken and written words, improve your vocabulary, and enhance your listening comprehension. Just remember to actively engage with the content and not rely solely on subtitles to understand the dialogue.

IMPROVED: A better way to learn either language is with the ear. This means to learn words by their sounds; exactly as you did in english. Then assimilate those [known english] sounds to the spanish word. Also, watching TV with subtitles, and listening to music in spanish. These have been proven methods in my language teaching classes.(1ere reply) Look at a spanishbook an try reciting some of the sentences while yiu try to remember them.
I saw it in the cinema many years ago with English subtitles so it must exist out there somewhere! I've also been on the look out for it on VHS or DVD, but no luck. Not sure if I'm prepared to learn Swedish just to watch it though......
All they really learn is the English language and a bit about you.
If English is not you're native language, the best way to learn is not a course but this (in my oppinion):First watch films/series/documentaries with English audio and you're own language's subtitles. Later with English audio and English subtitles and lastly without subs at all. Meanwhile, read many English newspapers/articles from editors on a English website ("somesitename".co.uk for example) while using a dictionary. For example: if you understand articles from The Economist well, your English is quite well. Also (try to) write English texts yourself and speak English often (when nobody English is around, just talk to yourself). When you're quite confident about it, visit an English speaking nation for at least a month and then I think you're able to master this language. If you are English but you want to improve it, just read/watch what scholars are watching.
None learn Hindi like i did are get films with subtitles
Nobody really knows, to be honest! They learn a lot just by watching and listening to what's going on around them, but scientists haven't figured out exactly how they do it.
