And If most people cant remember or dont know is that Claire and Leon keep in touch by email. Claire gets info about Wesker/Umbrella from her brother Carlos. So Wesker and Leon Never actually "Meet" each other but they both know about the existence of each other. Wesker knew about leon from Ada. Hope this helped you know how they knew about each other.
