Sea water has far too much dissolved solids in it for a modern steam boiler, which would quickly get clogged up with salts left behind from water evaporation. In fact even ordinary mains fresh water has to be demineralised, that is purified, before it is suitable. The cool water coming out of the condenser could be drunk as it is very pure, but it is under vacuum at that point so it would need to be pumped out.
what are boiler protections
Its Boiler-Turbine-Generator
everything except the boiler, boiler auxiliaries ,turbine, turbine auxiliaries is considered in balance of plant or BOP. Ex :- cooling tower , water generation plant, fuel oil system, coal handling system
higher the vaccum in condensor , lesser the steam consumption
An auxiliary boiler is a secondary boiler used to support the main boiler in a steam power plant or marine vessel. It is often used when the main boiler is unable to meet the steam demands, providing additional steam capacity. Auxiliary boilers can also be used for heating purposes during maintenance or downtime of the main boiler.
operation boiler and tarbine
soda boiling of boiler means removing of oil traces and mill scales of boiler tube material with mild steam heating of filled boiler water and allowing to circulate naturally
No It has heat recovery steam generator
Any Plant, such as an Ethanol Plant, that could run a boiler by burning biomass instead of coal.
Usually Alloy steel is used, copper and brass are also used as boiler tube materials
it make high pressure steam to be sent to the turbines.
