take the govenor off or just loosen it alot it increases your speed alot. or just buy a 6.5 horsepower engine. I weigh about 125 pounds and when i took the govenor off i fly on that baby

Taking off the governor puts your engine at risk of failure. Add a 5.5 or 6.5HP engine for relatively cheap. This will ensure engine safety, while giving you much, much more power.

The stock Baja Motorsports Doodlebug DB30 has a 98cc Lifan 2.8HP engine. Most guys will find it under-powered, even after doing things like adjusting the governor, or even adding a larger (68-80tooth) sprocket on the rear. It's not uncommon to see people purchase the doodlebug, and replace it with a 6.5 Honda Clone engine, found at most automotive stores for $99-$160 The clutches that come with these mini bikes are also sub-par. The mpg`s for a baja doodle bug is in between 45-55 . I filled the gas can in mine and went from 11 am to 3:30 and when I was finished riding there was still 1/2 a tank.
