DS games are not model specific (but see below). There is no such thing as a 'DS lite' game, or a 'DSi XL game' as such, only DS games, which work on every DS console. There are plans for games which play as normal on the DS and the lite, but have 'enhanced' features when played on a DSi or XL. Then there is at least one game which can only be played on DSi and XL because it uses the cameras. Games like this will be clearly marked on the box though. However at the moment, the DSi and XL can play any DS game, no problem.
