Ok, well here's my sentence. I just learned what oligarchy was and I took a test on it. An oligarchy is a type of government in which a few people rule. So here's a sentence. "My country uses an oligarchy to rule our country, in which a few people are elected to make decisions for us!
Sparta was ruled by an oligarchy, Athens by democracy Sparta had 2 kings, 5 ephors (overseers) a senate (if you were in it you were elected for life), and an assembly which voted on legislation (you had to be a man and over 30) Athens had a council of 500, which was divided into ten groups of 50 and changed its elected president every day, a board of ten generals, a jury of 6000 selected by lot from the citizens, judicial board of nine archons, and an assembly
Ruben Spartas Mukasa was born in 1899.
if you think that Sparta is an oligarchy, you are wrong. Sparta is unable to have an oligarchy because they have two kings that have no power to the people. kind of like Great Britain. The only difference is that Great Britain has a constitution and Sparta doesn't. An example of an oligarchy is not known at this time. Sparta is also not a monarchy because it has TWO kings instead of one. if i could make up a word for Spartas government... it would be POLARCHY because Sparta has more than one king. when i find out the answer, i will update this answer.
