Some gas ranges are "duel fuel" where there is an electric element in the oven as well as gas.
then there are some that are gas for the cooktop burners but pure electric.
in the last two cases, usually they requre 220v 40A, but its best to check with the manufacturer for power specifications before installing these ones.

Just plug it into the 240 volt outlet and you now have a 120 volt outlet, which is protected by its own internal 15 amp fuse.
