The v8 engine 2002 GMC Jimmy 6 cylinders can be replaced with the GM Vortec 4200 straight-6 engine.

Normal flow, short nose GM aluminum water pump for a GM big block engine, such as 427. Vintage dated pumps like that were used on the legendary ZL1 engine back in '69. It is still produced by GM. I have one in 2002.
No,not without some mods. They would be considered minor by most back yard mechanics.
Short answer, no. A pontiac and GM engine are different. Long story, yes, with a lot of work. Wiring harness and ECU will have to be switched at the very least.
GM 350 small block. The engine new from GM will run ariund $1,800 depending on the H.P. you want. The cost of the installation would be a guess on my part. Talk to someone who has done this before. It can be and is done but is not an easy swap. Check out Advance Adapters on the web. Very good info on this swap and others. They sell all the parts to do these jobs.
Pretty much any 4.3 V6 from 1995 to 2005. For the exact same ones, that would be 1996 to 2002 model year. As for doing an engine swap, you can swap in a number of different engines, if you have the time, money, resources, and know-how. A GM small block could be swapped in, or you could swap in a 3.9 Cummins 4BT or 3.9 Isuzu diesel (for the latter, adapters are more readily available to mate it with the 4L60E transmission in your Astro).
dose the k engine series mean any thing in this exchance
