Dominance of the Atlantic Ocean and a vibrant sense of nationalism.
England's victory of the Spanish Armada gave it dominance of the Atlantic Ocean and a vibrant sense of nationalism.
Dominance over all the Oceans
Dominance over all the Oceans
the defeat of the spanish armada by the british navy gave Britain superiority over the oceans, and therefore the world.
the queen gave orders that every English ship was to be used to fight Spain
My best guess would be May 28 - The Spanish Armada, with 130 ships and 30,000 men, begins to set sail from Spain heading for the English Channel. With the destruction of the Armada this gave England the control of the Oceans.. Making them a superpower in the New World.
It made elizabeth look really strong so that all the other countries were very impressed. It showed everone tht she did not need a powerful husband. It gave the catholics no real chance to rebel. It stopped most of the other countries from attacking after she had destroyed the spanish. It stopped the majority of the courtiers from enlessly bugging her about a husband too. I did a whole bloomin essay on this shizz.
La Armada Espanola is the name for Spain's navy. It is an important part of Spain's strength in that it allows the country to defend itself at a distance from it's land mass. If you have to kill people and destroy things it is always more desirable to do so at a distance from your own country.
Queen Elizabeth I gave the speech at Tilbury in 1588 to boost morale and rally her troops as they prepared to defend England against the Spanish Armada. It was meant to inspire them with her resolve and to show her commitment to leading them in battle.
There Germans surrendered! (gave up) And left England for the victory!
The Spanish Armada- England's presence in the Americas brought England into conflict with Spain. Attacks by English sailors on Spanish ships bringing gold from the Americas angered King Philip II of Spain. Also, England-a Protestant country-had provided support for Protestants subjects who had rebelled against Catholic Spain. So, in 1588, Philip II sent an invasion force of 130 ships and 19,000 soldiers against England. The English ships were faster and better-armed than Spanish ships which gave them an advantage. After several days of fighting, the Spanish were completely defeated. This crushing blow seriously weakened Spain. However, Spain continued to be leading Europeans Power because of the great wealth it received from its gold and silver mines in the Americas.
The Spanish Armada fought with any one who tried to dominate the high seas, whether it was the Dutch or the English, but most of the times they were defeated by the British, the /dutch also gave them a run for their money.
