Istanbul is on two continents (Europe and Asia).
Africa and Asia are the two continents that are very near Europe. Africa is located to the south of Europe, while Asia is situated to the east.
Antarctica is south of all the other continents (North America, South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia.)
Continents located only in the Eastern hemisphere include Asia and Australia. Other continents located in the Eastern Hemisphere but also in the Western Hemisphere are Europe, Africa, and Antarctica.
Australia and Antarctica are the only continents located on their own, separate landmasses and are referred to as island continents because they do not touch any other continent. North and South America are located on a single landmass (America). Europe, Asia, and Africa are located on a single landmass (Afro-Eurasia).
-- No parts of Asia or Australia are in the western hemisphere.-- South America is completely in the western hemisphere.-- All of the other continents are partly in the eastern and partly in the western hemispheres.
The continents closest to each other are Africa and Europe, separated by the Strait of Gibraltar. Australia and Asia are also relatively close, with the Torres Strait separating them. South America and Antarctica are neighbors, but they are separated by the Drake Passage.
Norway is in the continent of Europe. Continents contain countries, not the other way around.
Europe is the second smallest continent.
All continents, including Asia and Europe, have deserts.
Italy is closest to Africa.
Europe is a continent. Like other continents it has many islands in it.
