Even if they are paying for the reception Is it OK for your in-laws to demand to be there while your wife and you open all wedding envelopes to see what was given by everyone who attended?

* It isn't your in-laws making any demands, but proper etiquette if you are opening the gift envelopes at the reception. Most parents of the bride and groom give monetary gifts so they would like to be there to enjoy you opening their gift. Some couples have a gift opening the day after the wedding because there is too much going on at the wedding. If you don't want them there then you shouldn't take the gift they gave you.
