As a generalization it will change one or more of its physical properties. To be more specific, the substance will change form or shape. Form meaning phase of matter (solid, liquid, etc...). Shape coud refer to just moving its components around into a different geometrical arrangement, however this gets trickier once you get to the atomic level.

In a physical change no new type of matter is formed. Examples of physical changes include the tearing of paper--the paper is still paper, even though it has changed the sizes of pieces. Other physical changes include changes of state. When water freezes it is still water and when it melts, it is still water. Mixing things toether without burning them can also be a physical change, if you can unmix the parts. Once you add enough heat to cause a chemical reaction and a totally new, permanent matter forms, you do not have a physical change anymore. You have a chemical change. Also chemical reactions with oxygen and some types of matter cause chemical changes. The red rust on a rusty nail is new matter-iron oxide, so rusting is a chemical change.

Is transparency a physical property?

Transparency is a physical property because in no way does it describe the the substance's chemical properties. All transparency is showing is the light that can pass through it, which is a physical property.

no but a mixture can

What can be separated into parts through differences in physical properties?

Substance

What happens if light passes through substance?

It depends on whether the substance is transparent, translucent or opaque. A transparent substance allows nearly all the light through. A translucent substance allows some light through. An opaque substance blocks all the light.

A substance can be seperated into simpler parts through differences in physical properties?

Mixture

When a substance goes from a gas to a liquid it goes through a?

Phase change.

What happens after a substance goes through a chemical change?

Yes because when a chemical change happens the substance may not have some of the physical or chemical properties it had once before. An example of htis would be Dry Ice. This would be an example because dry ice was once just ice then they add a chemical and it turns into dry ice.
