An earthquake is when two of the earths plates rub together causing friction which makes the ground move and with the movement of the plates causes the area in which the earthquake is in to shake. An after shock is when the earquake has passed but the earth is still moving so little by little it begins to decrease slowly until there is nothing left of the natural disaster.
