With anything else, I would explain to them that the work done was not what you expected and you wish it had been done another way. If this person isn't understanding ask to speak with his/her superviser and if they still wont work with you report them to the BBB.

In order to handle problem people, you would need to have lots of patience. Listen to what they have to say and ensure that you explain to them your stand without arguing with them or making them feel that they are wrong.
