On July 24, 2011, the first day on which same-sex couples could legally obtain marriage licenses, 66 couples obtained marriage licenses and performed a ceremony in the Queens Marriage Bureau, the only place in Queens County where marriage licenses are issued. Additional same-sex marriage licenses were issued to couples who chose to marry elsewhere or at a later date. Perhaps New York City will soon release more statistics concerning this.
On her maiden voyage, the S.S. United States made the trip from New York to England in 3 days, 10 hours, and 40 minutes, beating the record set by the R.M.S. Queen Mary in 1938 by 10 hours and 2 minutes. How long did it take the Queen Mary to make the trip?
There are no Dairy Queens in New York because it is way up high in the US.
The border between Brooklyn and Queens starts at the East River, continues down Newtown Creek, Cypress Ave, Wyckoff Ave, through Highland Park, and into Jamaica Bay. The border's been marked since the early 1700s, but it's a long contested question. For more history on the border dispute, you can see the Related Link below.

Geographically speaking, yes. The actual geographic landmass that is Long Island consists of Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties. Brooklyn and Queens, though, are also boroughs in New York City, which leads many people to think of "Long Island" as being just Nassau and Suffolk. If you say you're going to "Long Island", people generally assume you mean Nassau or Suffolk because Brooklyn and Queens are part of "the city". It's a little confusing if you're not from the area. Hope this helps.

On the commuter rail of the LIRR just to hit the borderline it is approximately 20 minutes. Mileage wise 20 miles again just to hit the border. Be more specific about where on the island.
Fences
The Department of Buildings doesn't require property
owners to hire an architect or engineer, provide
design plans or have a work permit to install a fence.
Homeowners may install their own fencing - but
if you're hiring someone to do it be sure it's a home
improvement contractor licensed by the Department
of Consumer Affairs. Use DCA's Instant License Check
at nyc.gov/consumers. In addition, the Landmarks
Preservation Commission must give approval and/or
issue permits for work on landmarked properties. Visit
nyc.gov/landmarks.
Residential and commercial fences for privacy are
typically made of wood, plastic, brick or chain link. The
NYC Building Code generally allows a maximum fence
height of 10 feet, and the NYC Zoning Resolution
outlines additional height limits:
•
Residential Districts:
6 feet, BC §3111.1
•
Residential Front Yard Fences:
4 feet, ZR §23-44
•
Residential Side of Corner Lot:
6 feet, ZR §23-44
