I love this game so much, but to get to the point, The only way you can play two players is to play Conquest Mode. When you get there you should see near the bottom right corner the words: 2p press start depending on the system. But i'm pretty sure they are exactly the same [PS3 or Xbox 360.] Story mode will not work for various reasons. And you technically don't GET two players because you already have it. Sorry if this is too confusing but remember that its only in CONQUEST MODE.

on xbox those time tricks dont work so dont listen to them. it's completely luck and random. the easiest/quickest procedure to use is play the battle of guan du on cao cao's forces. use two charactes with lady luck and they must be lvl. 50.( i use liu bei and guan ping) then for both players pick two lvl 5 horses each with find saddle ability. then when the battle starts, with player 2 run directly left and jump over the cliff into a forest on the southwest part of the map. there will be a crate. once you grab it with player one ride through yan jin fort(preferably) and go directly to yuan shao and kill him. this will give you 3 horses. not every time there will be a rare horse like i said its all luck and random. all rare horses descriptions say his eyes consider the world and he has a heavenly physique. if you get a horse with ths description and its pitch red and not that light brown keep it ad train it with lvl 50 lu b or lvl 50 guan yu. at lvl 5 your horse will get red hare armor and wind spirit ability which allows it to run as fast as red hare. and i said its all luck ive done this 100s of times and i only have auburn and ebon kings. good luck hope i helped.
