Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon was originally launched in December 1977 as the Pinwheel Channel. In April 1979, the channel re-launched itself declaring its name "Nickelodeon" and declaring its 1979 year as its official launch year. It has aired popular kids and teen shows such as "You Can't Do That On Television," "All That" and "The Secret World of Alex Mack." It also airs its annual Awards show which is now called the "Kids' Choice Awards." Nickelodeon has launched various cable and digital cable/satellite channels over the years such as TeenNick, Nicktoons, TV Land, Nickelodeon GAS and Nick Jr.
